Hello! I am so happy you found me. I am Tara, the one behind the camera for Tara Baker Photography. I am a follower of Jesus, a wife, and a mother. We live on a little acreage outside of town and I love being able to shoot your photos on my property, or property nearby. I also have a studio space available in Newcastle, or really anywhere in between: The possibilities are endless.

For as long as I can remember I have had a camera in my hands. My love for photography started when I was very young. I would snatch up my mom's camera at any event and start snapping away. At the time photography was still on film, so I'm sure my mom loved developing all those photos. My love for a good candid shot has been the heart of my photography since the beginning. I love to capture people in their natural moments. Sure, we will get the "everyone look at the camera and smile" photos. But my passion is meeting you where you are and capturing you in the season you are in. I am capable of multiple different types of photography. But my true passions is LOVE. Whatever that looks like. Capturing the love of family and littles, the first love of a newborn, the surprise proposal, the newly engaged, the 50th wedding anniversary, the intimate elopement at the courthouse with the party to follow: you get the idea:
